Ok, so...I have a dilemma.
I felt like my story had a good starting point, but then it just kind of dwindles off after that and I can't stand it. It's totally missing something and I'm not getting enough feedback to really clue me in on what that might be other than the things I've noticed myself. Like too much character head space and not enough action among several other things that I don't feel like listing at the moment. So, this is to ask your honest opinion. Tell me what you think of the story, what's good about it and what it lacks. Please be truthful. Some stuff stings a little, sure, but it's only going to help me make the story better and that's what I want. I really don't want to give up on this because, sadly, it seems like I pretty much give up on everything else at some point. Whether I get a response to this post or not, I am going to start over and see what I come up with. The essentials of the story will still be the same, but I am going to try writing from the character's view points as well as adding more action and not staying in their heads all at one time so much. Your opinions will help me define things that are lacking (or not) a little more clearly, and help me to give each of you what you're looking for in the story. Of course, there are only less than a handful of people reading this story at the moment so I'm positive that I will get little, if any, response from this, but that's okay. If anyone starts reading this rough draft while I'm trying to perfect things, they'll at least know why there aren't going to be any updates for a while. I shouldn't have even posted what I have. I recently discovered that I am not one of those people (or this is not one of those stories- either way) that can post chapter by chapter and still keep the story flowing in the manner I'd like. So much about this story is still being planned and plotted out and while I know where I essentially want it to end up, the details linking the events together are what are problematic at the moment. I need to have all those ironed out before I can continue. So, off I go to re-do all the hard work I've put into this and see if I can make it better. Much, much better. Please respond if you like- leave your opinions, ideas, well wishes or "just give up now"s (lol) because they are all appreciated! Encouragement makes everyone work harder and faster;)
Thank you for reading and I hope you won't give up on me because I will be back! Writing this is important to me and even if no one ever reads it but myself and a few select others, I want it to be as good as I can possibly make it.

OMG! I finished reading what you have so far just a couple of days ago, and I am totally hooked! I can't wait to see what you change about it (although I think it is absolutely great the way it is) and I am really anxious to see what happens next. The suspense is killing me!

I really want to get back to work on this and it's always a great motivator when people comment or I know that someone is reading (and enjoying) what I've written!
